Trailer: the upcoming Gran Theft Auto V

It’s finally here, the trailer for the game that should replace their latest Gran Theft Auto IV. I have always been a big fan og the GTA series, and have spend many hours, days, months playing this game. The top of the pop was the San Andreas version, which also was the biggest visual game to date.

In fact, I was a little disappointing at GTA IV. Many of the things that made San Andreas fun for hours wasn’t possible in IV; you could not fly in airplanes, no tanks, no trailer on trucks, no nothing.

But this game I really hope they have made it up on line with the quality of San Andreas. If not, I think it’s gonna be a failure.

Back from a birthdayparty at Autosalon Singen

This weekend I was lucky enough to get a free ride to the German border at Switzerland where one of the most exclusive autodealers are located, Autosalon Singen. They do only deal in exotic cars like Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini and old classic cars (like the Mercedes 300SL Gullwing).

At the same time it was also the time at the year where I am celebrating another year of my life. So, for the first time in my life, I was celebrating my birthday the whole way through Germany and had a little dream-party at Autosalon Singen themself. Oh boy some really nice cars they have right there!

Two Unicorns

Every day I receive a small cartoon from Wulffmorgenthaler in my mailbox. It’s about everything and nothing, and it’s always really funny.

Today the cartoon was about two fake unicorns trying to sneak them into a VIP area. At the same second I saw it I got the idea of modify the cartoon with the Tandem of Die guys, why have two unicorns in their logo. Continue reading →

Random Video >>> Gatebil Festival by Superior Media

As a warm-up for my own The Gatebil Experiment video I just want to show you guys this (long) video of Superior Media from the Gatebil event at another racetrack in Scandinavian, Mantrop Park. I have never been there myself (only Rudskogen twice - love that track!) but it looks awesome – just as Gatebil should be.

It’s not the same style as mine videos – not at all – but it still shows all the craziness arround Gatebil and what it’s about.

Random Video – Base Jumping Underwater

Over the past month or maybe the past year I have fallen over this video a few times. Everytime the thumbnail got me to click Play and everytime I have been amazed over the video, over the compositions and editing, and mostly of all; how long both the diver AND the photographer can hold their breath.

Well, I know it’s filmed over several times but it is still amazing how they can dive over 200 meters onto the ocean floor without any help besides some diving goggles.

Also, it reminds me of diving. Have been trying it a few times since many years ago, resulting in taking a diving certificate last December when I was at a holiday in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt with my family. Oh I miss it so much!

Working on my next video from Gatebil, I found this clip of Fredric Aasbø, driving to the maxinum and blowing his rear tire up. Year, there is defently a lot of power into this picture.

When good things become too much

Okay, I love tire smoke and can’t get enough of it. It looks good on photos, it looks even better on video , it’s like the dot over the i’es when it comes to motorsport and drifting.

But sometimes it can be too much. Phill Morrisson of Driftworks.com came through this at the Japfest 2011 some time ago when he span in his Nissan S15 and did so much smoke both in- and outside of his car that he even can’t breath.

The only thing to do? Get out of the car and wait for it to gets empty of smoke, to the enjoy of the crowd :)

This weekend I spend all my time in Norway at this years latest Gatebil event at Rudskogen Motorsenter. It’s the second time I have been here this year, but the first time with the time to do some serious filming. Last time was a bit of a ‘hey-lets-take-to-Gatebil-tomorrow’ idea and we spend more time on the road to and from Rudskogen than we spend on Gatebil it self.

I just want to show you a single screen shot from the weekend, shot with my Canon 7D + Sigma 10-20 f/4-5,6 EX DC HSM lens. Normaly I would have used my GoPro camera for this kind of shooting, but both my GoPros were in use when I got the chance to get a ride in a BMW E46 M3 with my camera mounted on the front.

But here it is, my camera survived and the footages is awesome :) Enjoy.

Random video >>> The coolest behavior I have ever seen!

I saw this video earlier this day and I’m pretty sure that this is some of the most awesome stuff I have ever seen. Under qualifying, Jeroen Bleekmolen loses a tire after driving through a very tight chicane. You might think that this is the end for Bleekmolen, but it turns out that he gets out of the car, recover the tire, put it in the passenger seat and gets back into the pit lane on three wheels, where the mechanics are waiting for him.

He still manages to secure the pole position, and later won the race. That’s pure win!
